Heating Installation

Boiler

In boiler fed or radiant heating systems, a pump circulates the water to ensure an equal supply of heat to all the radiators. The heated water can also be fed through another heat exchanger inside a a hot water tank.

Furnace

Forced air systems send heated air through ductwork. The air can also be filtered or cleaned by installing an air filtration system.

Heat Pumps
A heat pump works in both directions; it heats your home in the winter months and cools it in summer using just one system.

  • The more common split-systems (with both indoor and outdoor equipment) require the same ductwork as central air conditioning. There are several options available, such as a two-stage compressor for more power when additional heat is needed or a system that incorporates a hot water heater.
  • A multi-fuel system (gas/electric) combines an electric heat pump with a gas or propane furnace and existing ductwork.
  • Most heat pump units look a lot like a standard central air conditioning system, and require ductwork.
